Copperfern

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 29 feet (8.8 meters) tall. The wide stem is copper, and is covered in thick bunches of flexible cream spines. It has a angular, slender, cream trunk atop a slender web of silky, exposed roots. The branches are very thick and gray and are short, thin and wispy.

The serrated-edged, cylindrical leaves are brown and peach. They are light, but take some effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with alternating petals of silver and copper, with a peach central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like citrus.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the silver flesh is rough, and the light yellow sap is thin.
