Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)This large, red grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The very thin stalks grow in large clumps that are resistant and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, bronze tuft.
During the early autumn, it produces a modest amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
