Magenta

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This large cactus grows up to 85 feet (25.9 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 very narrow, elongated stems. Each stem is lime green, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with solid red petals decorated with magenta dots and a azure central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of many raised, narrow petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like mango.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the hazel flesh is rough, and the grey sap is thin.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
