Caramel Caudicula

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The pleated stem is bronze, and is dotted with small beige spines. The straight, orange trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter in the middle. Its bronze branches are very short, thin and wispy and start growing halfway up the stem.

The large amounts of wavy-edged, 3 pointed leaves are either pink or peach, with grey dots. They are resistant, but detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are caramel in the center, lilac in the middle and sky blue at the edges, grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of raised round-tipped petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like soap.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the caramel flesh is rough, and the crimson sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for use as a construction material
