Azureberry

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 43 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in thick, ridged, silver bark, and inside, the soft wood is burgundy-brown.

The small clumps of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of small, 8 pointed leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with dull blue lines.

In early spring, it produces copious amounts of tiny, purple blossoms with 4 oblong shaped petals. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like sweat.

In early summer it produces small, circular fruit. The fuzzy aquamarine skin is thin and inedible, and the crunchy crimson flesh is slightly sour and powdery. The gold seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
