Turquoise

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many flexible, slanted stems covered in fine, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of large, broad, flat, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are either turquoise or orange, with purple zig-zags, light and smooth.

It produces hundreds of small, cyan flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like vanilla. In mid-autumn it forms medium-sizedgrey aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
