Golden Clump Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In damp forests.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely delicate; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
