Twining Olive
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its lime or caramel stems grow in bunches of 3 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the miniature, pale green and moss green leaves are finger-like with toothed edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.
Several giant flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 14 cm (5.5 inches) wide, with olive petals and a grey central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They detach easily.
It has a delicate scent that smells like roses, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
