Coppervine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 24 feet (7.3 meters) and growing as high as 914 feet (278.6 meters).

It takes 4 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.

The circular, waxy leaves reach up to 5 inches (13 cm) in length. They are either copper or deep red, with orange edges, and have ripped edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of giant purple flowers.

It is suitable for making strong rope
The pollen is very toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is possible to grow it from cuttings.
