Silvervine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This massive vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,059 feet (627.6 meters) and growing as high as 650 feet (198.1 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.
It takes 41 years for the silver stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 2.3 feet (71 cm) and are rough and prickly.
The broad, flat, rough leaves reach up to 2.6 feet (79 cm) in length. They are a shade of pink-red that gradient shifts to hazel at the top, and have smooth edges.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
