Silverbell

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its red stem is very thin, and the giant, green leaves are wide with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

A single small flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with silver petals and an aquamarine central disk. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 39 raised, round-tipped petals. They are very delicate.

It has a strong scent that smells like cotton, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.

It comes in 92 varieties.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The leaves are slightly toxic, and very bitter.
