Rockvine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 48 feet (14.6 meters) and growing as high as 150 feet (45.7 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.

It takes 20 months for the gray stems to mature, by which point they each have a diameter of 2 inches (5 cm) and are rough and woody.

The spear shaped, leathery leaves reach up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) in length. They are either aquamarine, or indigo with black streaks, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces several tiny violet flowers.
