Silverfinger

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This colossal flower grows up to 8.4 feet (2.6 meters) tall. Its dark brown and grey stem is very thin, and the giant, silver leaves are finger-like with serrated edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and a pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Each stem splits 2 to 4 times; a single medium-sized flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 124 cm (48.8 inches) wide, with petals that are yellow on the underside and black on the top. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of 13 raised, narrow petals. They are very delicate.

It has a weak scent that smells like rotten meat, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
