Silvershoes Bellbush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 21 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several slender, wavy stems covered in wrinkled, light brown bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are very long and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of giant, very narrow and elongated, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are generally silver, delicate and crispy.

In early summer it produces clusters of giant, pink flowers with circular petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like old shoes.


It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
