Twistvine Fir

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 14 meters (45.9 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2951 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wonky trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, silver bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow-brown.

The excessive amount of branches are short and thin, with dozens of twigs covered with very large amounts of tiny, silver needles. The needles themselves are rigid.

In late summer it produces small, peach aril (seeds with fleshy covers).

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It blooms only at night.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
