Twilight Vine
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This modest-sized flower grows up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. Its burgundy stem is thick and splits into dozens of branching stems three quarters of the way up, and the huge, gray-green leaves are sickle shaped with irregular edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.
Dozens of large flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 5 cm (2.0 inches) wide, with solid silver petals decorated with crimson dots and a aquamarine central disk. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 45 raised, narrow petals. They are very delicate.
It has a weak scent that smells like baby powder, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
