Coilvine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 31 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in hard, smooth, dark brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is white.

The sparse amount of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small amounts of huge, needle-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid white or brown, with orange patches.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of tiny, peach blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like baby powder.

In mid-autumn it produces small, prism-shaped fruit. The hairy drab orange skin is tough and inedible, and the soft sky blue flesh is sour and syrupy. The light brown seeds are small and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.
