Velvetvine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 26 feet (7.9 meters)0.

It takes 5 years for the white stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and fuzzy.

The finger-like, smooth leaves reach up to 1.1 feet (33 cm) in length. They are found in light grey and purple varieties, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the vine produces a handful of giant green flowers.
