Sickleleaf Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 29 meters (95.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 72 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, angular trunk covered in paper-thin, smooth, brown and grey bark, and inside, the very hard wood is dark brown.

The sparse patches of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with very large amounts of sticky, small, sickle shaped leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are found in dark grey and intense green varieties.

In late summer it forms tiny, amber berries.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with patches of undergrowth between them.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and are suitable for boiling.
