Heathland Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In heathlands, and In moorlands.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
