Burgundy Peachgrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This big, burgundy grass grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in large clumps that are flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, peach tuft.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.

The sap causes severe rashes
It is suitable for making strong rope
