Copper Bine
Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small bine is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 10 feet (3.0 meters) and growing as high as 439 feet (133.8 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.
It takes 11 months for the orange-yellow or azure stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 2 cm (0.8 inches) and are tough and woody.
The stiff, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 2 inches (5 cm) in length. They are found in copper and lilac varieties, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the bine produces a handful of colossal bronze flowers.
