Golden Flare Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In bogs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely flimsy.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release thousands of spores.
