Copperleaf Tree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 51 meters (167.3 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 289 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, wavy trunk covered in rough, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the flexible wood is copper-coloured.

The abundance of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of soft, tiny, very thin leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of moss green that gradient shifts to white at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, crimson, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
