Puffgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, pink-red grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The long, narrow stalks grow in large clumps that are flimsy and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, beige puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
