Blue Puff Grass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This large, pastel yellow grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in extensive patches that are flexible.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, blue puff.

During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
