Copper Petal

This small flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its emerald or cream stem is thick, and the tiny, yellow leaves are dark brown or light grey on the underside and are stiff, pointed with jagged edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of copper. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 petals. They are very delicate.

It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like an ocean breeze, and it has copious amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is visited by a large variety of them.
