Waterpine

This average-sized tree grows up to 43 meters (141.1 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2721 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, angular trunk covered in smooth, dark gray bark, and inside, the dense wood is white with black speckles.

The branches are very long and thick, with thousands of twigs covered with small amounts of miniature, amber needles. The needles themselves are flexible.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, gold, shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
