Waterleaf

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 25 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several stocky, straight stems covered in ridged, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, asymmetrical, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are cyan and blue, resistant and fuzzy.

It produces a thick sheet of tiny, light grey flowers with teardrop-shaped shaped petals. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like rotten meat. In midwinter it forms largegrey, spiky-shelled seeds.
