Prismacactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This large cactus grows up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 5 wide stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid dull purple spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 16 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with solid olive petals and a peach central disk grow at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of 34 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like baby powder.

The cactus's skin is thin, the crimson flesh is smooth, and the bronze sap is thin.


Several parts of the shrub have medicinal properties.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
