Desert Blossom

This average-sized flower grows up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is wispy, and the tiny, sky blue leaves are stiff, pointed with smooth edges. 28 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Two large flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 16 cm (6.3 inches) wide, with petals that are generally peach; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour. The flower head is made up of many petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like mint, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.
