Vinebloom

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 185 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, straight stems covered in wrinkled, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are short stubs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, V-shaped, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid peach or black, with lime patches, durable and sticky.

In mid-spring it produces thousands of medium-sized, white blossoms with 4 circular shaped petals. They are very delicate and have an overpowering scent that smells like musk.

In early winter small long, curved fruits ripen. The soft blood red skin is delicate and inedible, and the very soft lilac flesh is salty and sour and oily. The pastel green seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
