Spinebloom
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This huge cactus grows up to 158 feet (48.2 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 5 wispy stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in thick sheets of fine, grey, hair-like spines. The mushroom-shaped body is hazel and red, and is covered in large amounts of rigid olive spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid indigo petals decorated with azure dots and a ashy purple central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 59 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like mint.
The cactus's skin is thick, the gold flesh is rough, and the black sap is thin.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
