Violetgrass

This short, yellow-green and gray-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The 5 pointed stalks grow in large clumps that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, violet tuft.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of giant grains.
