Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In heathlands, In rainy mountain ranges, and In bogs.
It is giant, growing up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is very flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
