Bronze Puff Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, lime green grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in thick clumps that are rigid.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, bronze puff.

During the mid-summer, it produces excessive amounts of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.

The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
