Aquamarine Glow
Flower type: Biennial (Sheds its leaves in winter)This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. Its emerald stem is very thick, and the small, gray-green leaves are perforated with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.
Hundreds of tiny flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with aquamarine petals on the lower layer and hazel petals decorated with cyan dots on the inner layer. The central disk is copper. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 48 curved petals. They are hardy.
It has an overpowering scent that smells like sugar, and it has a modest amount of pollen. It is a self-pollinator, but is also particularly attractive to insects.
It is suitable for making paper
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
