Marzipan Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The narrow stem is brown and light brown, and is covered in brittle faded red spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 17 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of orange and grey, with a black central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is made up of 60 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like marzipan.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the azure flesh is smooth, and the olive sap is thin.

It is very rare outside of a particular area.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Once on fire, it burns very quickly.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
