Spineleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The narrow stem is lime green, and is covered in thousands of rigid florescent red spines. The rounded leaves are generally lime. Small amounts of them grow on thick, blue branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are light, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with turquoise petals and a gold central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like a newborn baby.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the brown flesh is sticky, and the slate sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.


It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
