This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
