Ambergrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small, black grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The sickle shaped stalks grow in thick clumps that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, amber flower.

During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few small grains.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
