Bronze

This small flower grows up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. Its yellow stem is wispy and splits into 9 branching stems halfway up, and the tiny, bronze leaves are very narrow and elongated with wavy edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

6 to 8 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with petals that are light brown at the sides and yellow at the center. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. They fall easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like old books, and it has lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird and is ignored by most insect species.
