Spiny Peach
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 30 feet (9.1 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is moss green, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible black spines. It has a twisting, wide, slate trunk atop a wide ball of silky, exposed roots. The branches are very thick and silver and are very long and slender.
The smooth-edged, asymmetrical leaves are either peach or beige, with cream zig-zags. They are delicate, but do not detach easily.
It is very fast growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either blood red or pink, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 56 petals. It has a soft scent that smells like rotten egg.
The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the lime flesh is sticky, and the sky blue sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
