Lilacvine

Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short bine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 17 feet (5.2 meters) and growing as high as 68 feet (20.7 meters).

It takes 7 months for the green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The spiral, clammy leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are purple at the bottom and peach with lilac splotches at the top, and have toothed edges.

During late spring, the bine produces handfuls of tiny red flowers.


It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The stems are covered in large spikes.
