Speckled
Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 57 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has dozens of knobbly, curved stems covered in ridged, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.
The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, perforated, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are black on the sides and dark grey at the center, durable and soft.
In late summer it produces many bunches of small, washed-out green blossoms with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like rainy days.
In mid-autumn small cuboid fruits ripen. The smooth slate skin is thick and inedible, and the soft black flesh is bitter and very dry. The blood red seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.
Before maturity, it can grow 0 per day.
