Silverbrush

This large shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 178 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous slender, slanted stems covered in thick, smooth, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of huge, 8 pointed, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are purple on the sides and silver at the center, resistant and covered in fine hairs.

In mid-spring it produces large amounts of large, gold flowers with kidney-shaped petals. They detach easily and have an intensely strong scent that smells like warm milk.
