Purple Spine Cactus

This average-sized cactus grows up to 44 feet (13.4 meters) tall. The thick stem is hazel or dark grey, and is covered in large amounts of rigid light purple spines. The tear-shaped body is emerald, and is dotted with small cream spines.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are sky blue on the edges and silver at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with several tightly layered narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like old shoes.

The cactus's skin is thin, the vivid yellow flesh is sticky, and the crimson sap is thin.
