Silverpine

This large tree grows up to 84 meters (275.6 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in fine, ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale brown-grey.

The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground, covered with handfuls of large, silver needles. The needles themselves are delicate.

In late summer it produces giant, beige, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
