Peachberry
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 31 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a very thick, slanted trunk covered in wrinkled, dark gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is yellow.
The numerous branches trail down to the ground and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid peach with amber dots.
In early spring, it produces many small, azure blossoms with sickle shaped petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like candle wax.
In early winter it produces small, astroid-shaped fruit. The soft green skin is stretchy and sweet, and the slightly crunchy azure flesh is bitter and savoury and sticky. The florescent yellow seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
Before maturity, it can grow 0 per day.
