Cyanthorn

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 7 feet (2.1 meters) tall. The narrow stem is moss green and lime green, and is covered in hundreds of flexible cream spines. The lumpy leaves are solid brown with sky blue dots. Handfuls of them grow on thick, moss green branches that are short stubs. The leaves are light, and take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 13 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with beige petals that gradient shift to crimson on the outer edge. The central disk is grey grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of several widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like a damp log.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the lilac flesh is sticky, and the cyan sap is thin.
